Making an Image Gallery for your Blog using Gallery

November 21st, 2008

Awhile back I wrote about a free, open source image gallery called “Gallery”.  I have since installed and created an image gallery on this blog, PJKDirect.com.  Notice on the right column on the page, there are some pictures.  These are being fed to that column by the Gallery.  Gallery has tons of awesome features.
If you’re [...]

How did John Chow get so popular?

November 19th, 2008

I saw a post on DP which I found was a bit interesting. The question someone asks is how John Chow became so popular.  I thought most of the responses were quite funny.  This somewhat reminds me a bit of his post he made a couple days ago titled, whats in it for me?
John [...]

November 15th, 2008

I noticed that I would often place direct ad sales on various parts of my webpage and then I would forget when to take them down since I had so many.  I then thought of simply using Google Calendar to manage my ads.
Whenever I place an ad, I simply create an event in my calendar [...]

DMA Session Review - 2008 - Money & Blogs

November 14th, 2008

The other day Shoemoney posted a video of a panel he was part of at the DMA Session last month.  Today I had the opportunity to sit down and watch the entire thing.

Yahoo Sports: Have to keep up with the latest sports news
Digital Point: I almost learn something new each time I visit.  A great place for new ideas
Speedsolving.com: [...]

November 11th, 2008

The other day I received my first issue of Website Magazine in the mail.  Last night was the first opportunity I had to look through it and read some of the articles in it.  I have to say, this magazine is very good, especially for being free.
I noticed that all of the advertisements in the [...]

Increased Google Rank

November 10th, 2008

A little over a week ago, I mentioned how one of my sites was ‘de-ranked’ from Google.  The site in particular was making a decent amount of advertising money from Adsense.  The earnings dropped by around 70% once the search engine traffic went away, since the SE traffic was a large portion of the site.
Since [...]

The John Reese Story - Simply Amazing

November 8th, 2008

Over the last several years, I’ve heard a lot about John Reese, but I never really knew exactly what he did or how he did it.  If you do a quick search for him on Google, you won’t find much on there, mainly because he was in his prime 5+ years ago.  I had downloaded [...]
